In April 2000, I joined the crew of the spirit of Isis, Farr 65, in Darling Harbour Sydney to race against 3 other Farr 65 Yachts, Spirit of Diana, Spirit of Juno and Spirit of Minerva, to the 5 stop leg to Marutius. Our adventure started as we raced under Sydney Harbour Bridge heading for Cairns, Darwin, The Christmas Islands, Salomon Atoll in The Chagos Archipelago and onto Mauritius.
I returned home for a few weeks and flew out to Horta in the Azores, to join the crew on the last leg of the race, Horta to St. Peterport Guernsey then back to Portsmouth, UK. This is a selection of some of the photos both at sea and on land.
